J_7L_REA_AUTO_CONFIG: Enhanced Authorization Concept (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-APPL 606), business function REA, Automatic Configuration (J_7L_REA_AUTO_CONFIG), you can use additional functions for controlling authorizations in the Recycling Administration component.

• Authorization object

You use the authorization object J_7L_VARIA to control users' access to master data objects via the attribute Variant.

• Roles

The following new roles provide role-specific menus that contain the applications in the Recycling Administration component:

• Packaging Engineer (role SAP_ISREA_PACKAGING_ENGINEER)

This role provides a menu with the applications for employees in your organization that work as packaging engineers. A packaging engineer is responsible for the technical design of packaging and articles from the point of view of optimizing their components and composition. His or her main task is to draft variants of packaging and articles and to compare them.

• Head of Sustainability and Environment (role SAP_ISREA_HEAD_SUSTAINABILITY)

This role provides a menu with the applications for employees in your organization that work as heads of sustainability and environment. The head of sustainability and environment is responsible for the environmental and sustainability strategy of an enterprise. With a view to manufacturing and marketing sustainable packaging and articles, he or she runs evaluations, for example, on costs, compliance status (level of fulfillment of legal regulations), and recycling quotas (size of recyclable proportion of products).

• Compliance Manager for Recycling (role SAP_ISREA_COMPLIANCE_MANAGER)

This role provides a menu with the applications for employees in your organization that work as compliance managers for recycling. The compliance manager for recycling has the overall responsibility for the processes for settling recycling fees in your enterprise (including Customizing). He or she also analyses articles and packaging with reference to transaction data.

• Specialist for Recycling Accounting (role SAP_ISREA_SPECIALIST)

This role provides a menu with the applications for employees in your organization that work as specialists for recycling accounting. The specialist for recycling accounting is responsible for the processing of declarations and for cost analyses.

• Specialist for Recycling Master Data (role SAP_ISREA_MASTERDATA_EXPERT)

This role provides a menu with the applications for employees in your organization that work as specialists for recycling master data. The specialist for recycling master data is responsible for the processing of master data in the Recycling Administration component.

These roles include the new authorization object J_7L_VARIA.
