Short text
AD_GPD_CI_2: Material-to-Material Transfer (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Industry Extension Discrete Industries and Mill Products (ECC-DIMP 605), business function Grouping, Pegging, & Distribution - Innovations (AD_GPD_CI_2), material-to-material type movements (309/310) with project stock (Q) are possible in the GPD environment. Material-to-material transfer is used for material reidentification, and replacement of old material with new material in the bill of materials (BOM). Since these movements are not associated with real replenishments, GPD could previously not handle this kind of transfer. Now, the introduction of dummy replenishment objects with information from the material document allows pegging to recognize these entries.
You cannot post material-to-material transfers using transaction TBLP_M2M.

Effects on Data Transfer
Effects on System Administration
Effects on Customizing
- Check that the Customizing table for GPD-allowed movements (0PEG02) contains movement type 309 for material-to-material transfer and its reverse movement type 310.
- Check the Customizing table (PEG_TMTNS) (SE16N) contains explicitly non-supported movement types from a GPD perspective. This table should not contain the material-to-material related movement types.
