Plant Maintenance and Project System (New)
Use
As of SAP Catch Weight Management 2.0, you can use the Plant Maintenance (PM) and Project System (PS) functions in systems in which SAP Catch Weight Mangement (SAP CWM) has been activated.
PM/PS is connected to the Logistics Inventory Management Engine (LIME). The following special features and restrictions apply:
- You can use both standard materials and catch weight materials as components in a plant maintenance order or network.
- You enter the components in the base unit of measure.
- The material availability check is performed in the base unit of measure.
- The system uses the base unit of measure for cost determination, and for catch weight materials it multiplies the quantity with the conversion factor defined in the material master record.
- You cannot perform backflushing for catch weight materials.
- You can only create refurbishment orders for standard materials, not for catch weight materials.
- You cannot settle plant maintenance orders and networks with production orders.
- You cannot settle production orders with WBS elements.
