Support for basic operations and deployment operations (new)

Use

From Release SAP R/3 Enterprise Public Services 2.00 (EA-ISDFPS 200), you can use the industry component Defense Forces and Public Security. The functions in this component support armed forces, policing organizations, and aid organizations both in their basic operations and in the flexible planning and execution of deployment operations. With the help of new object types and link types, organizations of this type are now able to

  • Initiate deployment operations from the basic operations, and plan and execute them
  • Map personnel and material categories (authorized/actual) of the units involved, change them as required, and use them as the basis for planning and execution
  • Perform budgeting and account assignment for the units involved
  • Map assignment and support relationships between units and take these into account when performing services
  • Enter maintenance requirements and forward these in consolidated form
  • Process purchase requisitions, goods movements, and maintenance notifications and display material data on mobile devices

The central object type is the force element, which is processed in the Structures Workbench user interface. A force element

  • is linked to an organizational structure
  • is described by many attributes (classifications, names, status etc.)
  • is linked with objects from other components such as material planning objects, material packages, functional locations, and WBS elements

The component is therefore integrated with the following components of the SAP System:

  • Organizational Management (BC-BMT-OM)
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • Financial Accounting (FI)
  • Project System (PS)
  • Integrated Product and Process Engineering (LO-MD-PPE)
