Selection Methods in Student Accounting (Enhanced)

Use

As of release 471, you can use selection methods to choose the students for whom you want to calculate tuition fees and financial aid instead of having to enter their student numbers manually.

The selection methods which are available in a specific application are combined in a selection method group. SAP offers the selection methods listed below for tuition fee and financial aid calculation. You can also use these selection methods in other transactions.

  • Fee calculation (selection method group FEEC)
  • ST01 - user-defined search 1

  • STNR - selection via student numbers

This selection method represents the previous selection option in which you chose students by entering a single student number or range of student numbers.
  • STRD - students for fee calculation period

This selection method selects the students who are registered in a specific fee calculation period. It also takes into account the students who have cancelled their registration.
  • Financial aid calculation (selection method group FAID)
  • ST01 - user-defined search 1

  • STNR - selection via student numbers

Check if the selection methods contained in the system satisfy your requirements.

If required, create your own selection methods. In order to be able to use your selection methods in tuition fee and financial aid calculation, you must assign these selection methods to selection method groups FEEC and FAID respectively.
