Student Master Data Functions (Enhanced)

Use

As of release 471, you can use the following new SAP business partner functions for student master data:

• On the Standard Address (PIQBPADD) tab page, you can now store address-independent communication data. For more information, read the release note Maintain and Transfer Address-Independent Communication Data.

• On the Address Overview (PIQBPADO) tab page, the system displays the address uses in a tree structure (tree control).

• You can use the change history pushbutton located below the input area to display change information for selected addresses, bank details, payment card details, or grants.

• The Idenfication Numbers (PIQBPIDN) tab page has been included in student master data now making it possible for you to define several identification numbers for each student. For more information, read the release note Maintain Identification Numbers.

• The general SAP business partner maintenance interface, which the system also uses for maintenance of related persons, has a new layout. For more information, read the release note New Interface Layout in SAP Business Partner.

As of release 471, you can now also use customer BDT screens as tab pages in student master data. You must define a customer-specific tab page for each BDT screen you create, and then assign this tab page to the BDT screen.

You can maintain address-independent communication data for students using the following function modules:

• BAPI_STUDENT_ADDINDCOM_CHANGE

• BAPI_STUDENT_ADDINDCOM_GET

Effects on Customizing

You make the required Customizing settings in the IMG section Configuration of User-Defined Tab Pages and in the IMG activity Change Display and Sequence of Tab Pages.
