ISHERCM_GRADING_ENH: Blind Grading (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 SP05, Industry Extension Public Services (IS-PS-CA 605), business function SLCM, Grading Enhancements (ISHER_GRADING_ENH), you can enable blind grading as part of the Student Lifecycle Management functions.

The Online Grading application supports blind grading. You can assign blind grading IDs to:

  • Assessment processes for students
You can assign different blind grading IDs to different assessment processes within the same module booking (if applicable).
  • Module bookings
You can assign one blind grading ID to a module booking of a student.

For each module, you have to decide whether blind grading is required and if you want to assign blind grading IDs to appraisals for assessment processes at the lower level or to appraisals for module bookings at the top level.

In the default system, you can enable blind grading in the Online Gradingapplication for assessments (module exams). You access the function for assigning the blind grading IDs in the SAP menu under Student Lifecycle Management -> Teaching and Examination -> Grading and Appraisal -> Assignment of Blind Grading IDs.

If, for example, unauthorized persons gained access to blind grading IDs, you can repeat the assignment to guarantee anonymity using an extended function. You access this from the SAP menu under Student Lifecycle Management -> Teaching and Examination -> Grading and Appraisal -> Reassignment of Blind Grading IDs.

The assignment of blind grading IDs assumes that assessment processes are open for the students. When assessment processes are opened for students using the recommended procedures, the system also creates an initial appraisal record for the student.

When blind grading IDs are assigned at the top level, the report Assignment of Blind Grading IDs(HIQAGR_BLGRD_ASGN_MP) will create top appraisals wherever required.

The Business Add-In BAdI: Enforce Blind Grading for Appraisal Object (HRPIQ00AGR_BLINDGRAD) provides the following methods:

  • Method CHECK_SM_BLIND_GRADING to activate generation of blind grading IDs for modules
  • Method FORMAT_BLINDGRADID to add formats for the blind grading IDs
  • Method ENFORCE_BLIND_GRADING provides the option of overriding the settings for blind grading for the Online Grading application
