Event Planning (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0, Business Function SLCM, Implementation Accelerator Package (IAP) (ISHERCM_MAIN_IAP) , Event Planning has been enhanced.

The following new functions are now available:

  • Selection criteria can be saved as default as per user.
  • Academic events can be created together with event packages. For example, you can create an event package and a regular event, or an event package and a time-independent event.
  • A new function is available for assigning events to event packages.
  • You can now enter descriptions for academic events.
  • A calendar view of the event schedule is available. This can also be used to see resource bookings.

There have been several enhancements to the user interface:

  • The screen is now resizable.
  • The ALV (ABAP List Viewer) list is cleared immediately after new selection criteria are chosen.
  • The selection screen now contains a Search button.
  • The ALV toolbar is active, even if ALV is in display mode.
  • Screen element texts have been changed.

Note: Transaction Event Planning for Cohorts PIQACADOFFER01 uses the same new functions.

Display transactions have been created for Event Planning, these are PIQACADOFFER00_D and PIQACADOFFER01_D. You can use these transactions for reporting purposes.

Users can access Event Planningfrom the Module Catalog. As of this release, transaction PIQACADOFFER00 is called in the standard delivery. You can still access the Expert Mode transaction if you make the settings for this function in Customizing for Student Lifecycle Management, under Student Lifecycle Management -> Student Lifecycle Management Master Data -> Academic Structure -> Event Planning.

Transaction Copy Event Offerings PIQCOPY2 has been enhanced with a new processing type Create Event Templates from Business Events. You can use this to generate event templates from existing academic events.
