ISHMED_MAIN: Medication – Drug Search (Changed)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, industry extension Healthcare (IS-H 605), business function Clinical System (ISHMED_MAIN) the following modifications are available in the drug search.

  • General tab page
  • Special Request indicator

If you have set this indicator, the system will no longer take into consideration the Purpose indicator when searching, and will instead search the entire catalog.
  • Search for Favorites

When searching for favorites, the system will now also use the drug categories as restrictive criteria.
  • Restrictions concerning Classification System

If you have selected a system in the Classification System field, but have not entered a classification code, the system will restrict the search results to those which have at least one classification code of the selected classification system assigned.
  • Enhanced Tab Page
  • Template Restrictions

You can only search for order groups as each order template must be assigned to an order group and has the same name as the template group.
  • Additional Selection Criteria:

The problem catalog and problem code are available as additional selection criteria for order templates. If you select the All Problems function, the system will display all problems which are already assigned to a template group.
  • Classification Tab Page
This tab page now also offers the purpose indicators for the search. You should note that you cannot use the classification search to find and order special requests.
  • Search Tab Page
  • Enhance Search Criteria:

If you have set the new Subordinate Health Problem Codes indicator, the system will search for order templates which are assigned to a subordinate problem code when searching for order templates if a problem code is specified.
  • Search Restrictions:

Here you can enter a problem catalog which should be preset in the search.
  • Results Tab Page
  • Grouping Behavior:

You should note that the search results display may become unclear if you simultaneously group according to the drug hierarchy and enter both grouping levels. It is not possible to combine grouping according to the drug hierarchy and the brand name or classification code.
  • Automatic Display of Search Results:

You can now also enter the values “Enter Search Term” and “Abbreviation Indicator Used”.
If you use the value ”Search Term Entered“ the system automatically calls the results list if you have entered a search term in the Mnemonic field in the compressed order row before you called the search using the input help.
If you use the value “Abbreviation Indicator Used” the system will automatically call the result list if you call the search having entered a search field abbreviation, an abbreviation indicator and a search term in the Mnemonic field.
