OR Surgical Documentation
Scope of Functions
For the surgical documentation, various detail improvements and problem
corrections have been implemented:
Coding from diagnostic/procedures via external coding procedure
Procedures and diagnoses can be allocated multiple codes.
If a pre-existing entry is to be changed
by a repeated call of an external coding procedure, whereas the past entry does not have to be deleted before this step as was previously mandatory.
When coding, an already existing user-defined/short text for diagnoses or procedures by the text
transferred from an external coding procedure is overwritten only if the cursor was positioned on the
text field in the surgical documentation when calling the coding. If the cursor was positioned opposite
it on the key field, the text is then only transferred if no individual text was entered for the diagnosis/procedure, or only the internal catalog text (C:...) is displayed.
A possible localization of diagnoses is transferred from the external encoding procedure.
This
also applies to the localization of procedures, which can also be entered as of this release in the surgical documentation.
Entering Procedures
A procedure pre-setting (if the identification key of the requested OR service also existed in the procedure catalog) takes place only, if the surgical documentation is called the first time for a surgery. The message line refers to the pre-setting. You can overwrite the pre-setting with blanks, if this is not desired. A deletion of the procedure line from the table of the secondary procedures is not possible, as long as the procedure has not been saved.
Entering Diagnoses
As of this release the diagnosis entry is integrated according to ICD-10.
For main and secondary
diagnoses, category(c) T for ICD-10 diagnoses is displayed. The category provides information
about whether this involves a diagnosis marked with a cross, one marked with an asterisk, or an additional diagnosis, or is simply a normal (non-typified) ICD-10 diagnosis.
In the Diagnosis Overview, the Table Screen and the Detail Screen of the Diagnosis Documentation, the
category T for ICD-10 diagnoses is displayed. The category provides information about
whether this involves a diagnosis marked with a cross, one marked with an asterisk, or an additional diagnosis, or is simply a normal (non-typified) ICD-10 diagnosis.
In addition, the diagnostic certainty (DC) and the diagnostic addition (AD) for the diagnoses are displayed in short form.
If several procedures were assigned to a diagnosis, then replacing an individual diagnosis-procedure
assignment previously resulted in all procedure assignments to be replaced for this diagnosis. This error is repaired with this release.
Simultaneous deletion of the diagnosis code and diagnosis text is not longer possible.
Team Table
Personnel duty times from the OR time entry screen are only transferred when releasing the surgical
documentation to the times of the team table, if the institution-related, time-independent system parameter
"N2PERBIN" is set (switch on the personnel duty times). A query then occurs for specifying whether missing times from the OR/AN time entry should be transferred.
For the support of the case history of the physician, it is possible starting from this release
to assign procedures to OR team members. This process is just like assigning diagnoses and procedures
via marking of the respective procedure and team line and then activating the push button "Assign".
However it should be noted that an assignment could take place only after re-entered or pre-set procedures are secured.
Instead of the previous separate display of name and first name of a team member, there is now a compressed name display for titles, first name and lat name.
