Further Development of OR Times - New Indicators

Use

New Indicators in Customizing

For the Time Definition function, there are new indicators which enable,

• Entry of time before Surgery starts

• Hiding the Time out of the Time Report.

You can modify this indicator for each time in the Overview and in the Detail Display.

Differentiating Time Report for Main and Secondary Surgeries

There are times that should be entered only once in an entire surgery just like the anesthesia, like, for example, Entrance into the Operating Room by the Patient. As of this Release, the area assignments in the Time Definition are so interpreted that times are specifically displayed for the main or secondary surgeries. The times of anesthesia will be displayed with the main surgery.

If a time (e.g., Entrance Time into OR) is only supposed to be entered once for the main surgery, then the area O "Surgical Area Main Operation" or P "Surgical Nursing Main Operation " are assigned.

Effects on Existing Data

The default setting of the new times is Surg start required and Display time report. This upgrade changes nothing in the existing settings.

Effects on System Administration

If the same Time Definitions were previously used for the both the main surgeries and the secondary surgeries, they will no longer be visible for the secondary surgery. This is because, as of this Release, the indicator for the anchor service for preparing time reports will be interpreted. For this reason, these time definitions are copied with a new time (new key).

When copying, you can choose the "Surgical Area (secondary surgery)" or the "Surgical nursing (secondary surgery)". This creates an identical View for the secondary surgeries, which are used when calling the Surgery Monitor for editing or displaying the saved times.

Example:

Institution '*' Time "N0_SCHNITT" Area "Surgical Area Main Surgery" TimeID "N0_SCHNITT" is copied to the institution '*' Time "Y0_SCHNITT" Area "Surgical Area Secondary Surgery" TimeID "N0_SCHNITT".

This causes the reading of the time saved in N0_SCHNITT for the secondary anchor service for the time report in the area Secondary Surgery. After editing, this causes saving also.

To control whether all times are included with this conversion, there is the report "RN2U_ZTPDEF_CHECK". If too many Surgery Times exist, you should then check the smaller time intervals.
