Regenerate Dialog Application and Print Control Program!
Use
After you upgrade to 4.63B you must regenerate the dialog application and print control program for all your own parameterized document categories. You do not need to regenerate the print form.
Effects on Existing Data
Mass Generation of the Dialog Applications via #Toolbox#
- You call transaction N2TL
- You limit to the current client (default setting; in principle you can only generate documents in your current client). The system may take a long time to load the document category definitions.
- You select List Document Categories
The system will display the document categories according to client and institution in a tree.
- To generate all the document categories of an institution, you select institution and then select Generate Dialog Application(F8).
If you selected one individual document category, the system will only generate this one.
Mass Generation of the Print Control Programs via Report RN2GENPRINTCONTROLS
- You start the above-mentioned report and select the institution.
- You select Execute (F8)
The system will start to generate the print control programs of all document categories(and versions); it will not change print forms.
Note
Both mass generators will only generate the application if it has already been generated (and is therefore a regeneration). The system only generate the dialog application new if a dialog application (function group) is already entered for the document category. This also applies to the print control program. This ensures that the system does not generate document categories, which are still in the design stages.
A log will appear after mass generation.
