Data Transfer (Enhanced)

Use

From Release 4.63B you can test your data transfers with test programs and transfer findings texts of up to 8000 characters to long text fields. You can save larger texts as SAPscript texts.

Some of the modifications described were already included as advance developments in the Support Releases 4.62C and 4.63.

Test Programs for Transferring Data

You can use the programs RN2GET01_TESTDATA, RN2GET02_TESTDATA and RN2GET04_TESTDATA to test data transfers independently of the HCM environment. The file with the transfer data can be stored locally or in the network in a file system and will be opened in the dialog. The system will use the same programs which will be used in the productive data transfer i.e. the same checks will run, for processing. You can specify in the dialog box whether the batch-input folders should only be created or immediately be processed.

The test file must have the same structure as the corresponding message file (see documentation), although you can give the file any name you wish.

Transfer Findings with RN2GET04

During the findings transfer, the system can process several OBX segments. You can use Value type(OBX 2) to specify whether the system should transfer the findings unchanged or in lines of 72 characters long with correct separation.

Value Type (OBX 2): 'FT'

You can transfer the findings into a long-text field of a parameterized document. You should note that the system will only interpret the pagebreak (HL7 standard '\br.\) and that a long text field can receive a maximum 8000 characters.

If you use the supplied document category N2_BEFUND, no other modifications are necessary. If you use your own document category and you wish to transfer several OBX segments, then you must adjust the data transfer in the Dialog Start user exit of the parameterized document.

You can orient yourself to the form routine WORK_BEGIN.

Value Type (OBX 2): ' '

This further development enables you to transfer text that is larger than 8000 characters and has more than 72 characters in a line. Then the Value Type must be blank.

You can store the findings as SAPscript text. For this, you will need a document category that contains a documentation element of the SAPscript element type. The system will transfer the text into the SAPscript link element. For transferring text, you can use the function module ISH_N2_PMD_TRANSFER_SAPSCRIPT which you must call in the

user exit Dialog Start. You should also refer to the documentation of this function module.

Transferring Structured Findings Data with RN2GET02

In the OBR segment 27 you can transfer the Priority. This value is stored in a table. You should refer to the documentation if you evaluate the priority yourself using the user exit.

Effects on Existing Data

Standard user now be delivered during the definition of parameterized document categories. The existing user exits are entered as standard user exits, which is why the document categories for transferring findings and laboratory data were regenerated and redelivered.

You must copy the changed document categories N2_LABOR, N2_LABOR1

and N2_BEFUND to your client.

Document categories are part of the delivery and are stored on client 000 like all customizing data. You must use program RN2UTDTM2 to transport the document categories to your client. Document categories are delivered for institution 0001, as there is always one document category per institution. You should ensure that the correct target institution is entered. If you have several institutions for each client, you must transport the document categories for each institution. You must always transport the document category complete with all application and table names. Do not forget to select "Overwrite Existing Document Categories".

These document categories may not be generated.

Effects on Data Transfer

Performance Improvement when Transferring with RN2GET02 and

RN2GET04

When transferring data, you can significantly improve performance if individual patients have multiple documents assigned to them, by changing the access methods. You will find this procedure in the SAP library under IS-H/IS-H*MED -> IS-H*MED Clinical System -> Enhanced Communication -> Transferring Findings in HL7 Format -> Improving Performance.
