Short text
Clinical Order - Clinical Orders View Type (New)
Use
The Clinical Orders view type is a further development of the previous Requests view type and replaces this. It can be used to display existing requests and clinical orders in a joint view type.
Selection
The selection screen contains a new Orders tab page for entering the selection criteria for clinical orders and order items. The selection criteria for requests remain largely unchanged and are available on the Request tab page.
The selection criteria Ignore Patient/Case, Manual Entry of Selection Criteria, and Maximum Number of Hits are now available in a joint selection area. These selection criteria are valid for both requests and clinical orders.
If you no longer use the previous Service Request function or have never entered and processed requests, the system will not display the Request tab page. If you do not use clinical orders, the system will not display the Order tab page. In the time-dependent system parameter N1CORDER you define whether you use only clinical orders, only requests, or both.
Layout
The display of a request consists of three hierarchical levels: patient - request - service. This display will not change. However, the display of a clinical order requires four hierarchical levels: patient - order header - item - service.
Functions
The function selection of the Clinical Orders view type contains new functions for creating, changing, displaying, and canceling clinical orders. If you cancel a clinical order, all dependent objects will also be canceled. The general cancellation rules apply to the cancellation of a clinical order. You can find detailed information in the Clinical Order - Cancel release note.
You can search for clinical orders using the Find Clinical Order function.
Several variants are available for printing a clinical order. You can find further information in the Clinical Order - Print release note.
The Create Request function corresponds to the Create Order function. Depending on the system /user parameter N1VKGTPA, you will either branch to the selection list for clinical order and request types or directly to the dialog of the clinical orders.
This means that, in order to directly create requests, the system/user parameter N1VKGTPA must be set to 'ON'. In particular, this applies to systems where only requests are used.
The Create/Change/Display Request functions will remain in the function selection as until now.
