Automatic Update in Clinical Work Station Views

As of Release 4.72, users with administrator rights in the clinical work station can configure the automatic update of views. If the automatic update is activated for a view, the clinical work station will execute the Refresh function for this view at specific time intervals.

With clinical work station views which can automatically be updated, you can, for example, configure current lists of patients waiting in an outpatient clinic or the current processing status of planned surgeries.

The interval can be determined for each view. If you only set the Automatic Update indicator for a view, but do not define a seconds interval, the user can enter a seconds interval for the view in the clinical work station using Settings -> Automatic Update and thereby configure the automatic update for himself.

Customer-Specific Functions in Clinical Work Station Views

In Release 4.72 function variants can contain any number of customer-specific functions. These functions require customer-specific function codes, which cannot be found in the standard function selection. You should only use function codes from the customer namespace, in order to avoid collisions with standard function codes.

When handling the customer-specific function codes you should use the Business Add-In (BAdI) provided for each enhanced view. You can find these BAdIs in the implementation guide under Clinical System -> Clinical Work Station.
