Clinical Orders View Type (Changed)

Use

Terminology

As of Release 4.72, the Requests view type in the clinical work station is available under the name Clinical Orders. Views of the Clinical Orders view type

  • still display all service requests which satisfy the selection criteria of the view and
  • in addition, all clinical orders which satisfy the selection criteria.

Modified Selection Behavior

Irrespective of the introduction of the clinical order, the selection possibilities now have additional options which influence the selection behavior of the Clinical Orders view type:

  • The two options Ignore Patients and Ignore Cases control whether patients or cases which were selected in the previously active view should be included or ignored in the selection of the view of the Clinical Orders view type.
  • The Work Environment OU indicator determines that, instead of the organizational unit (OU) selection entered in the selection variant, the system should include the corresponding OU from the work environment in the selection. The Work Environment OU indicator is available for the
  • Requesting nursing OU

  • Requesting departmental OU

  • Performing OU

The new options in the selection criteria of the Clinical Orders view type are not selected in standard behavior. This means that views of the Clinical Orders view type (previously the Requests view type) configured on your system, also retain their selection behavior in Release 4.72.
