Surgical Documentation (Enhanced)
Use
The surgical documentation in Release 4.72 contains the following changes or functional enhancements:
Set Time of Check Function Using OU Parameter
You can use the OU-related parameter N2OPCHECK to determine the time at which the system should perform checks in the surgical documentation, which can also be called using the Check function.
A check is possible at the following times:
- When the surgical documentation is released
- When the surgical documentation is saved
- Each time the ENTER key is clicked
Activation of External Diagnosis/Procedure Coding Function
Up until Release 4.72, you needed to set the institution-related, time-independent system parameter
N2DIACOS in the implementation guide to activate the Code pushbutton. This parameter has been removed from the implementation guide in Release 4.72.
As of this release this function is active, if the BAdI for
Coding Diagnoses or the BAdI for Coding Procedures is active.
If you wish to code diagnoses externally you must select the External Diagnosis
Coding checkbox in the implementation guide under Industry-Specific Component Clinical System under Medical/Nursing Documentation ->
Determine Input Help for Diagnosis Documentation
Customer-Specific Checks of Medical Documentation
As of this release you can use the BAdI Consistency Check for Medical Documentation to perform customer-specific checks of your medical documentation.
You call these checks in the surgical documentation using Rules<./> These checks will also run during the save process.
For further information you should refer to the Check Medical Documentation release note.
Department-Specific Status Management for Basic Medical Documentation
As of this release the surgical documentation supports department-specific status management.
For further information you should refer to the
Department-Specific Basic Medical Documentation release note.
Call Team Entry with Modified User Interface
Outside the surgical documentation a modified user interface is available for team entry as of this release.
For further information you should refer to the Service Management: Team Entry release note.
You can access the revised team entry in the surgical documentation via Team Entry in the Goto menu.
As until now, you can also use the team table in the surgical documentation.
Display Long Texts from In-House Catalog for Procedures and Requested Services in Full Length
As of this release you can double-click on a service or a surgery code of the procedure table to display
the service text from the corresponding catalog in its complete length of 120 characters. To do this,
the system will branch to the master data transaction Display Service following the double-click.
You can still edit free texts using the long text button.
BAdIs (Business Add-Ins) for Surgical Documentation
As of this release, you can use the "Call Surgical Documentation" BAdI.
This BAdI enables the transfer of diagnoses and procedures to the surgical documentation. The transferred
data are stored for the surgery. You should ensure that the transferred data are plausible and consistent, otherwise inconsistencies in the SAP system may result.
You can also deactivate specific functions of the surgical documentation or prevent the surgical documentation call.
Note: This business add-in was already announced in the release notes for Release
4.63B for a later add-on package. Although it was already positioned in the implementation guide, the surgical documentation under 4.63B did not take this into account. You can use this BAdI as of Release 4.72.
