Use Patient Pathways (New)
Use
In the clinical environment, you can call worklists, which are created from the assigned treatment pathways.
You can call the Use Patient Pathway dialog from the clinical work station in the Occupancy, Arrivals, Departures, Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility, and Coding Analyses view types. You can also adapt the layout of the clinical work station so that it informs you of whether pathways are assigned, tasks have yet to be completed, and which occupational group has to do this.
A list of all currently distinct steps is available for processing patient pathways. In a freely definable layout, you can display all available properties of each individual step. A standard layout is supplied.
When you select the step, you will receive information on the corresponding patient pathway in textual or graphical form. You can execute the following functions in various columns and using the menu:
- Trigger system action
- You can trigger predefined actions (e.g. create request, create document, print form). During execution, the system will take into account any context information and values predefined in the treatment pathway.
- Create note
- For each step, you can create a note and categorize this. For example, to document deviations from the patient pathway.
- Flag step as completed
- You can document the completion of steps.
- Cancel step
- You can cancel individual steps, which should not be performed due to the current treatment situation. You can use a system parameter to determine whether documentation is necessary when canceling.
- Document decision
- You can document decisions at branch points in the patient pathway. The system will then display the steps of the selected branch.
- Terminate patient pathway
- If it transpires that it would not be sensible to continue along a pathway, you can terminate the entire pathway.
- Change start time
- Until you process the first step, you can set the start time in the past or the future. This means that you can subsequently assign pathways or make an assignment for a future admission.
- Recalculate patient pathway
- By recalculating a pathway, you can calculate new target times for the completion of the remaining steps following delays in the workflow. This means that the list of necessary activities can still be used, although you have deviated from the pathway or its chronological specification.
- Overview of processing status of assigned patient pathways
- Here you can display the relevant processing status of all treatment pathways assigned to the patient.
A viewer for documents is also available, with which you can view all parameterized documents for the current patient.
