Ranking Order for Creating Insurance Relationships

Scope of Functions

In prior releases, when you created insurance relationships, the system automatically assigned a rank (rank 1) to the first insurance relationship only. Now the system automatically propose a ranking order for all insurance relationships. Thus the system always proposes a rank below the lowest rank to date when a new insurance relationship is created.

This does not include the rank of self-payer insurance relationships where the rank is automatically assigned the value 98. This means that a self-payer insurance relationship will always be at the bottom of the ranking order and will be the last to be taken into account for coverage.
