Changes to the EDI Workbench

Use

The EDI workbench offers you the following additional functions (many of these functions were already delivered with the add-on service pack for release 4.03):

  • You can call the EDI workbench with the transaction code NCEDI.
  • The Activities group box contains the time of the last single file creation. You can create single files directly from here. You need this function for (error) messages which each have to be transferred in separate files.
  • The function pushbuttons have been re-arranged to make them as convenient and user-friendly as possible.
  • The EDI workbench menu also offers the following additional functions:
  • By choosing Environment -> Message temporary storage you can place messages in temporary storage, or display stored messages.

  • By choosing Goto -> OU overview you access the Care Unit Overview: Initial Screen (List Display), which provides an overview of organizational units.

  • By choosing Goto -> Case list you can have the system create a case list on the basis of your selection criteria.

  • By choosing Customizing -> Conversion -> EDI Codes internal <-> external you are able to convert the EDI codes from external to internal and vice versa.

  • By choosing Environment -> Statistics (graphic) you call a graphic with daily statistics for analyzing the current size of your EDI table content.

  • Under Environment -> Message formats you can choose from the following functions:

Display message types
Display message segments
Structure tree
Structure generation -> Generate SAP structures
Structure generation -> Generate customer structures
  • By choosing Environment -> Events you access Change View: "IS-H: Events and Related Application": Overview.
