Customizing for DRG Grouper Connection (New)

Use

Customizing for the DRG Grouper has been entirely redesigned for this release.

It is now possible to delimit the validity of the DRG (Diagnosis Related Groups) and MDC (Major Diagnostic Categories) catalogs. The system uses the admission date to determine which catalogs are valid for a case.

A time-dependent attribute DRG Grouper Control has been introduced to accommodate a possible change of external DRG grouper.

Environment parameters now enable the simple and flexible use of different DRG groupers.

When you upgrade to this release, the system automatically transfers any earlier Customizing settings into the new Customizing tables.

• You access the Customizing table for making the basic, time-related settings relative to the DRG catalog, MDC catalog and to DRG grouper control in the IS-H Implementation Guide by choosing SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals -> Medical/Nursing Documentation -> -> DRG Documentation -> Set Parameters for DRG Documentation.

• You access the Customizing tables for all other DRG grouper settings in the IS-H Implementation Guide by choosing SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals -> Communication -> DRG Data Exchange ->

• Define DRG Grouper File Conventions
