Service Forms (New)

Use

Form-based service entry has been completely redesigned. You can now use the service forms as if they were paper documents. For example, the selections you make remain of the form after saving, and can be modified the next time you call the form.

Note that this functionality can only be used with HTML forms. The SAP service forms introduced with the previous release do not accommodate this.

To be able to use the new service forms, you must have defined these with form type NHTM (HTML form with BAdI ISH_SERVICEFORM) in Customizing for IS-H, and have created a corresponding implementation for the BAdI ISH_SERVICEFORM. For more information about this, refer to the documentation on the BAdI ISH_SERVICEFROM.

In the system, you require an admission variant with this type of form in the Enjoy Admission transaction (transaction code NV2000), and a corresponding form folder in case-related service entry.

In case-related service entry, form folders are used to organize the many different forms that may exist, thus making it easier to search for and select particular forms in a given case. This means that you can only call the new forms in service entry via form folders.

You create a form folder by choosing Other Form Folders from the work environment context menu in the service entry transaction.

Two form folders are delivered with the standard system:

  • The Admission Forms form folder contains the forms you created via the Enjoy Admission transaction.
  • The All Forms form folder contains all of the forms that exist for a case.

To create a new form folder, in the list of form folders, choose New View. In the resulting dialog box, first enter a name for your new folder. All of the HTML forms of form type NHTM you defined in Customizing for IS-H appear below the name field. Select the forms you want to include in the new folder.

The Sequence field lets you determine the sequence in which the system is to display the forms for a case within the form folder.

If you select the D option (Default), the system generates the form when you call the case, and places it in the form folder. If you don't select this option, you can create forms in the service entry work environment by choosing New Form from the form folder context menu. A dialog box appears containing the forms defined for this folder, and you can select the form you need. You can re-visualize the forms that can be selected for a form folder, and change these by choosing Properties from the context menu.

You can cancel forms by choosing Cancel Form from the context menu. Note that, in this case, the system also cancels the services you entered using this form.

Note that the old service forms (form types HTML and SAP) are only supported up to and including IS-H Release 4.63. For the next release, the Customizing entries for the old forms will be deleted and will no longer be usable in the application.

SAP is interested in your experience with implementing and using these new forms. Consequently, if you require assistance with a project aimed at implementing these forms, please contact us by sending an appropriate message via the SAPNet R/3 Frontend. We will be pleased to assist.
