Use

Automatic Refresh of Views

With regard to the definition of a view for the Clinical Work Station, you can now configure a view to be automatically refreshed by setting the Automatic Refresh indicator and specifying a value in the Interval (Secs) field in the Change View dialog box.

  • If you set the indicator and specify a value in the field for a view, the system automatically refreshes the view in the Clinical Work Station at the frequency specified (in seconds).
  • If you only set the Automatic Refresh indicator for a view, without specifying an refresh interval in seconds, the user can enter an interval in seconds for the view in the Clinical Work Station by choosing Settings -> Automatic Refresh and thus tailor the automatic refresh function to meet his or her own needs.

Integration of New Functions in the Function Variants of Views

When maintaining function variants, you can now directly create customer-specific functions. The system then incorporates a function with the function code you assigned into the current function variant. In the Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for interpreting these functions, you can read these function codes and implement an interpretation of your choosing. For further information about this, see the Implementation Guide under SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals -> Hospital Basic Data -> Clinical Work Station -> Business Add-Ins for the Clinical Work Station.

Only use function codes in the Z namespace to prevent overlaps with the standard shipment.

There is no limit to the number of new functions you can create.

Delete the User-Specific Settings for a View

Users of the Clinical Work Station can modify the layout variant of the views defined by the system administrator to satisfy their own requirements.

If a view used in the Clinical Work Station is to be modified for all users, the Delete User Settings function now enables the system administrator to delete these settings for all users of the view so that these users can work with the new version of the view. This function is provided as a pushbutton in the Change Work Environment dialog box, where it is executed for all views in the work environment and in the Change View dialog box, where it is only executed for the view in question.
