Insurance Relationship: Overview (Changed)

Use

The data model for depicting insurance relationships in SAP Patient Management has been fundamentally redesigned for this release.

  • All information pertaining to the insurance relationship is now also available on case level. On patient level, this information merely serves as default values when a new case is created for the patient in question. The new data model enables you to make changes to existing insurance relationships, without affecting the patient's previous cases.
For information about this, see the Insurance Relationship: Data Model (Changed) release note.
  • The designations for the case-related and patient-related insurance relationships have been modified as follows to fit the new data model:
  • The designation Insurance Relationship Proposal Pool replaces the designation Patient-Related Insurance Relationship.

  • The designation Insurance Relationship replaces the designation Case-Related Insurance Relationship.

  • The insurance relationship transactions have a new interface. You can choose between two modes of display. The transactions are integrated into the framework of the Clinical Process Builder.
For information about this, see the Insurance Relationship: Transactions (Changed) release note.
  • In the self-payer insurance relationship, the third-party payer concept replaces the alternative invoice recipient concept.
For information about this, see the Insurance Relationship: Third-Party Payer (New) release note.
