Adaptation of Customer Code in BP (Changed)

Use

As of SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0, with SAP Business Partner (SAP BP) activated, the customer-specific source code needs to be adapted so that data can be retrieved from the tables created for SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0. The adaptation is relevant for the customer code of both business partners and patients. The status of the switch is first checked. If IS-H BP is active, the code is retained, otherwise redirection is necessary.

  • Database access
All accesses to the database tables created before SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0 for both business partners and patients should be redirected to the SAP BP and HC role-specific tables created for SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0.
  • Programs
All standard programs are already adapted as part of the changeover. Any customer-specific programs should be adapted so that data is fetched from the new HC-specific tables.
  • Views
All standard views are already adapted as part of the changeover. Only customer-specific views and source code need to be adapted.
All views containing one or more of the specified tables have to be adapted to work correctly after the changeover.
There are different types of views:
  • Maintenance views

The affected table should be deleted from the view definition. For the fields that were located within the deleted table, global fields should be created and replaced everywhere needed.
A new PBO module should be created to retrieve the values for the replaced fields by using existing function modules. The re-architecture switch has to be checked so that the correct tables will be accessed depending on the switch setting.
  • Database views

For the direct selects on a database view containing the specified tables, the switch has to be checked. If it is not active, the direct select can be executed. When the switch is activated, the exact information that would have been retrieved by executing the earlier select statement will be retrieved from the database tables created for SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0. This is done by having a direct select statement on the joins between these tables.
  • Search helps

Redirection of search helps involves a check on the status of the switch. If SAP BP is active, the search is redirected to the search locator screen, which searches the new tables.
