Enhanced Material Search to Include Active Ingredient (Changed)

Use

As of SAP ECC Industry Extension Healthcare 7.0 it is possible to search for a material by the active ingredient it contains in the following transactions:

  • NMM1 (IS-H: Create Material Req. by OU)
  • NMM5 (IS-H: Create Case-Rel. Material Req.)

The active ingredients for a material can be maintained in the Pharmacy view of the material master (transactions MM01, MM02, MM03).

To search for a material by the active ingredient you can enter the appropriate values in the fields Active Ingred. Code and Active Ingredient of the input help (search help: IS-H MM: Material/Material Group/Short Text/EAN/Active Ingredient).

Previously it was not possible to use an active ingredient to search for materials in the transactions NMM1 and NMM5.

Further Information

You can search for materials by choosing function key F4 on the fields Material or Material Text in the transactions NMM1 (IS-H: Create Material Req. by OU) and NMM5 (IS-H: Create Case-Rel. Material Req.).

The active ingredients for a client can be maintained in Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals by choosing Integration with Materials Management -> Material Master Hospital -> Active Ingredients.

The Pharmacy view of the material master can be configured in Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals by choosing Integration with Materials Management -> Material Master Hospital -> Configure Material Master -> Assign Screen Sequences to User/Material Type/Transaction/Industry Sector.
