Short text

Indicator for Extended Payment Grouping on Item Category Level

Description

In order to control grouping of open items in the payment program on a more detailed level, the Customizing table TKKVMZAHL was extended with the extended grouping field.

The indicator is set on the contract account category and item category level. It causes the document number and item category for the associated open items to be taken into account when grouping items in the payment program.

Example

If initial and subsequent premiums are not to be collected together, use a different item category for initial premiums and for subsequent premiums.

In the TKKVMZAHL table, enter the item category for the intial premium, by setting the indicator for extended grouping. The payment program only pays items from this initial premium item category, which come from the same document. The items from other item categories, which are no specified in TKKVMZAHL for extended grouping, are grouped using the previous control method.

Further notes

This grouping enhancement leads to a programming change in the insurance-specific function module for event 0600. This must be noted if customer-specific function modules are implemented for events 0600 to 0640, for example.

  • To ensure that the T_0600-PAYGR_0600 field contained in event 0600, or the I_SRT1-PAYGR field in events , 0620, 0630 and 0640 does not have to be increased with every insurance-specific grouping enhancement, sequence numbers are generated instead of the values for the enhanced grouping criteria, and they are set in this field. The same sequence numbers are assigned to these grouping concepts in event 0600.
The assignment of the value for the extended grouping concept and the sequence number generated for it is defined in the IT_PAYGR global table (function group VKKW). This is always initialized before processed new open items in even 0600.
  • If customer-specific function modules are used in your application, which also include the new version of the VKKW_ZAHLEN_0600 event, you must take note of the following:
If access is made to both the T_0600-PAYGR_0600 and I_SRT1-PAYGR fields, you have to note that the fields do not contain the grouping concept itself, but just an identifying number. This can be used to derive the extended grouping concept from the IT_PAYGR table.
The VKKKPAYGR structure is used in the module for event 0600 to structure the extended grouping concept.
