Editing Booking Units

Description

As of Release 4.02, you can create booking units of the online item type.

  • If you have set the online item type indicator on the initial screen when creating booking units, the Online BU pushbutton is available to you on the General Data screen. This allows you to create the master record for a booking unit of the online item type. If you have set both the online item type and the advertisement item type indicators on the initial screen, the Online BU and the Advertisement BU pushbuttons are available to you on the General Data screen. These allow you to create the master record for a booking unit of the online and advertisement item types.
  • The Technical content(OL) pushbutton allows you to access the Technical View of Content (OL) screen on which you describe elements of the booking unit from a production perspective.
  • The Sales view of content pushbutton allows you to access the BU Content (Sales View) screen on which you describe elements of the booking unit from a sales persepctive. Elements that you enter on this screen apply to booking units of the online and advertisement item types.

The PPU elements content screen that was available to you prior to Release 4.02 for editing booking units of the advertisement item type, has been renamed as Technical View of Content (Advertisement). You can display this screen using the Technical Content (AD) pushbutton.

To facilitate booking unit elements editing, the following additional functions are available to you on the Technical View of Content (Advertisement), Technical view of content (OL) and Sales view of content screens:

  • If you want to display elements for a booking unit, a filter allows you to select and display elements by validity period and/or first-level content component type.
  • If you want to edit content components in complex hierarchy structures, the Position function allows you to find the content components you require more quickly. If you want to execute the function, choose Edit -> Position from any of the screens mentioned above.

The step loop for editing edition elements has been converted to a table control.
