Assignment of Item Categories to Sales Document Types

Description

As of Release 4.02, you can also restrict the item categories that are admissible for each sales document type to an item type.

Effects on Customizing

You can assign item categories to the sales document types in Customizing according to the item types. If you assign an item category but not an item type to a sales document type, the item category can be used for all item types within the sales document type.

If you want to restrict admissible item categories to an item type for each sales document type, please proceed as follows in Customizing: SAP Media - Industry-Specific Components -> Advertising Management -> Sales -> Order -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Item -> Assignment of Item Category to Sales Document Type.
