Short text
Alternate Technique for Recording COA Conditions
Scope of Functions
As of Release 4.61, there is an alternate technique for recording COA conditions in addition to the existing procedure. This has meant that the following areas are easier to manage:
Best conditions
The existing technique involved two discount determinations (using a number scale and then a unit scale) being performed for COAs with best conditions (combined COAs). The more favorable of these two discounts was then entered in the COA (the same applied to bonus and fixed quantity price). The new technique means that number and unit discount can be determined in one discount determination run and the less favorable condition is deactivated using a condition exclusion.
Tolerances for COA final settlement
The existing technique meant that percentage tolerances could be recorded in the media customer master record and the COA conditions. The new technique means that condition access can determine a different discount scale according to the "Final settlement" indicator.
Example
Discount scale | |
---|---|
From 6 ADS | 5 % |
12 ADS | 8 % |
20 ADS | 10 % |
100 ADS | 15 % |
Previously: Tolerance scales for final settlement | |
From 15 ADS | 1 |
50 ADS | 5 |
New: Discount scale for final settlement | |
From 6 ADS | 5 % |
12 ADS | 8 % |
19 ADS | 10 % |
95 ADS | 15 % |
Threshold values
The new condition technique does not use threshold values.
Effects on Customizing
The new technique determines COA conditions using a pricing procedure such as pricing proecedure ABS001 that is supplied. Condition types that are used in this procedure must be assigned from certain condition exclusion groups for the following reasons:
- So that they can be identified as COA conditions (discount, bonus or quantity price)
- So that the system can perform condition determination with this procedure using the new technique.
Effects on Existing Data
You can continue to use existing COA conditions in their original form.
If you want to use number and unit scales and continue to access previous condition records, you can use pricing procedure ABS002 that is supplied. This contains the condition type ARAK whose access sequence ABSK accesses the existing quantity scale using number and unit alternately. The scale basis is however determined by scale basis formula 555.
