Fast Access

Scope of Functions

The functions available in fast access have changed as follows for Release 4.61:

Customizing

A separate Customizing table has been created for Customizing settings in fast access and other settings that can be made during order processing. You access this table as follows:

SAP Media - Industry-Specific Components -> Advertising Management -> Sales -> Order -> Client-Specific Settings -> Make Settings for Central/Standard/Fast Access'

The existing Customizing options from the 'General Settings' table have been copied into the new table.

You can create an entry in this Customizing table for each user group. If no table entry is available for a user group, the system accesses the entry for user group "*" (star). If no entry is available for the user group or for "*", the system evaluates the user parameters. If the system is unable to determine any default setting using the user parameters, the default settings for fast access apply.

The following data groups are relevant for fast access:

Central access and fast access data group

Initial screen

  • Cursor position
When accessing these transactions, you can place the cursor on the 'Name' field or the 'Telephone number' field.

BP selection list

  • Address validity
This parameter has been copied from the 'General Settings' Customizing table.
  • Unique BP selection
This parameter has been copied from the 'General Settings' Customizing table.
  • Read document block
This parameter has been copied from the 'General Settings' Customizing table.
  • Media customers first
The system displays media customers in the BP selection list first. You can use the 'Expand' function to display all business partners that match the search criteria.
  • Sales area group
The sales area group defines a number of sales areas that are used to identify addresses in the business partner selection list. You enter sales area groups in Customizing under: SAP Media - Industry-Specific Components -> Advertising Management -> Sales -> Order -> Client-Specific Settings -> Definition of Sales Area Group

Interface

  1. The ABAP List Viewer (ALV) has been used to reorganize the business partner selection list.
This ALV conversion means that the following new functions are now available:
  • Variable layout (sorting, filter, ...)

  • User and initial variants that can be saved

  • Printing option for lists

  • Data extraction

  • Mail function

The old interface for the business partner selection list is no longer available.
  1. The business partner selection list has been converted to the full screen mode. This has created more space for data display and additional functions such as 'Search'.
  2. Various views of the business partner selection list can be displayed:
  • Display media customers only

  • Display all business partners

If the search produces media customers and additional business partners, you can use the "Expand" and "Collapse" functions to navigate between these two views.
  1. The new BP in current sales area column in the business partner selection list allows you to identify whether the business partner belongs to a sales area that has been assigned to the user using the sales area group in Customizing.
The new MC column indicates whether the business partner is a media customer.
The 'Telephone number' column is also new.

Functions

Initial screen: BP search using social insurance number

You can search for business partners using the social insurance number in the US version.

BP selection list: Sales area information

The system now takes the sales area into account during the business partner search. You can define which sales areas can be assigned to the user for the address search in Customizing. The "Current sales area" indicator indicates whether the business partner belongs to a sales area that has been assigned to the user.
The system displays the business partner selection list regardless of whether you have confirmed your entries using 'Enter' or 'Execute' or whether one or more business partners are determined.

BP selection list: Selection

If the business partner selection contains one address, this address is already selected when it is displayed. The selection list is therefore similar to the item overviews.

BP selection list: COA monitoring

You can access COA monitoring for a selected business partner from the business partner selection list.
