MED_MAM_2: Business Function Cross-Media Advertising Sales (New)

Use

As of SAP Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Industry Extension Media (IS-M 605), the business function Media, Cross-Media Advertising Sales (MED_MAM_2) is available.

You can use this business function to make sales of advertising available to your customers in various mutually aligned communication channels (such as print ads, ad inserts, online ads, commercials). You use cross-media packages here. This is a bundle that defines cross-media advertising placements.

Cross-media advertising placements are distinguished as follows in the SAP System:

• Fixed packages are cross-media standard packages that you define in advance and make available to your customers in a completed format.

• Flexible packages are individual cross-media packages that consist of flexible ad items that you select that have a flexible overall price structure. You create these packages on an ad hoc basis.

Both fixed and flexible packages can consist of any combination of package element items (item types) that you select.

Since package sales offer you numerous upselling options, you can use them to exploit new potential revenue sources. Packages are also a convenient way of managing the corresponding revenue recognition and billing processes.
