Assignment of ID Codes in Media Product Master

Use

As of Release 4.62, you can assign a media product master record several ID codes in media product master data maintenance.

Effects on Customizing

You can define ID code types of your choice in Customizing for the ID codes you use. You can specify characteristics that determine the following for each ID code type:

• Whether or not a media product master record can be assigned several ID codes of this type

• Whether or not ID codes of this type can be used repeatedly and if so, the hierarchical relationship that must exist between the master records that use the ID code in question

• Whether or not ID codes of this type must be in ID code areas and number ranges

• Whether or not the ID code only contains numbers

• Whether or not ID codes of this type have a check digit and how the check digit is calculated

• Length of ID codes of this type

• Separator symbol

• Number of separator symbols in ID codes of this type

• Whether or not ID codes of this type have a separator symbol between the ID code area and number and/or between the ID and check digit

• Which individual search helps are to be provided for ID codes of this type
