Mass Maintenance for Media Product Master Data (New)

Use

With Release 4.62, media product master data is linked with the mass maintenance tool for the material master. This allows you to change individual master data fields for a selected group of media product master data quickly and easily.

To be able to use the function, you need the authorization B_MASSMAIN. Since the function can make changes to large volumes of data, you should use it with caution.

To use the mass maintenance function, please proceed as follows:

1. Call up transaction MASS.
2. Enter the object type BUS1001.
3. Choose Execute.
4. Choose the object type table(s) you want to edit. The following tables are relevant:
1. MARA (General Material Data)
2. MARC (Plant Data for Material)
3. MVKE (Sales Data for Material)
5. Choose Execute.
6. Select the records to be changed by means of the following criteria:
1. Material (object in media product master)
2. Plant
3. Sales organization, distribution channel

The system displays the records to be changed.

1. Choose Choose Fields and add the fields to be changed to your selection.
2. Enter the new values.
3. Select the records to be changed.
4. Choose Change Field Values.

Since changes to large volumes of data involve long runtimes, you should schedule changes in SAP background processing (for example, overnight).
