Delivery Sequence Renamed Issue Sequence

Use

The delivery sequence for a media product has been renamed issue sequence with Release 4.63.

Functional Enhancements

The following enhancements have been made to the issue sequence for Release 4.63:

  • Enhanced media issue selection:
Media issues can now be selected by publication dates, copy numbers or material numbers.
The number of media issues not assigned to the issue sequence is no longer displayed on the processing screen, since this information is only required for period selection. As before, you can access a list of the media issues that are not assigned under 'Environment' in the menu.
  • Copying a template:
When creating or extending an issue sequence (for a certain period), you can copy the issue sequence for another media product as a template (you can also do this for selected weekdays). You must specify a template issue for the weekdays you want to copy.
This function is particularly useful for publication frequencies that are irregular and apply to several media products. Once the issue sequence of a media product has been maintained manually, it can be used as a template for all other media products that have the same publication frequency.
  • Detailed log of segment check on template issues in the menu:
A function under 'Environment' in the menu allows you to list which segments in the template issues have not been maintained in comparison with the media product.
  • Logs of media issue generation under 'Environment' and via pushbutton:
You can now access logs of media issue generation directly from the issue sequence.
  • Special functions for media product migration:
Issue sequences are created for media products during media product migration (migration of M/SD products to the media product master). Special functions have been provided for maintaining issue sequences for media products for which migration is active.
  • You can use the function Use template issue to insert template issues in the issue sequence for specific weekdays.

  • If you execute the function Copy default values when migration is active, you can choose whether default values are to be copied for copy numbers, for issue numbers or for both.
