Short text

New Application Component Hierarchy and IMG Structure

Description

For Release 4.01, the Application Component Hierarchy (ACH) has been modified to correspond to the current status of the industry-specific components for media (IS-M). The maps the structure of the application. The following areas are based on the ACH:

  • Initial menu and logical structure of entire application
  • Implementation Guide (IMG)
  • Structure of release notes
  • Component structure for assignment of problem messages in Customer Service System (CSS)
  • Help library for IS-M (available online from 4.02)

The restructuring basically consists in placing the two main components Media Sales and Distribution (IS-M/SD) and Advertising Management (IS-M/AM) on the top level of the structure and assigning the subcomponents (e.g. sales, billing, settlement) to them.

Changes to the Interface

  • The initial menu (Logistics -> Media sales and distribution or Logistics -> Advertising management) has been changed in accordance with the new ACH.
  • The implementation guide was restructured according to the ACH.

Further notes

You can call up the ACH under the menu path Tools -> Business Engineer -> Business Navigator and then Goto -> Component view.

If you want to print out the new IMG structure in order to familiarize yourself with it, call up the SAP Reference IMG, position the cursor on the node 'SAP Media - Industry-Specific Components' and choose Edit -> All subnodes. Then choose Structure -> Print -> Displayed structure.
