New Functions in WBZ Processing

Description

For Release 4.01, some areas of WBZ processing have been restructured and enhanced:

This new table contains all the general parameters for WBZ processing.
  • Print parameters for stock list:

You need no longer maintain these parameters for each computer center as they now apply to all computer centers.
  • Logical files: The logical files required in various reports for WBZ processing are recorded here and copied as defaults into the report selection screen.

  • You can now specify whether or not each computer center uses the (exact) street abbreviation used by the postal service in its records.
If you select this indicator, the System uses this short text to search for the street when an address is being created. This avoids correction messages being sent to the computer center when the text is corrected automatically (short text -> long text).
The short text for the street is then used in all messages to the computer center.
It may be necessary to define a suitable index on field STR_NAME_K in table JSTSTRPRO so that the search for the correct street can be performed effectively.
If computer centers do not use the same spelling as the street file provided by the postal service, this can be dealt with by means of enhancement JKWBZ002.
  • Print parameters for confirming changes to WBZ company:
The output types KWBU and KWBK must now display output type '1' (printed output). The print parameters for output are maintained along with the output master data. The transmission time should still be '3' (processing by application).
The exchange of customer numbers between WBZ companies requires that the orders in IS-M also be changed. Since changes for example to the sold-to party in an order has far-reaching (and sometimes undesired) consequences, this procedure is reproduced in the system by terminating the existing order and creating a new one. When this is done, the order terminated is assigned a specific delivery end reason and the new one a purchase reason depending on whether the terminated order is inside or outside the recalculation deadline.
When termination takes place, the promotion rebate is not recalculated.
For further information, please see the documentation on report RJKWBZ04.
  • The recalculation and tolerance limit can now be created not only at object level but also on the level of the WBZ company or of the representative in a WBZ company. The access sequence becomes less differentiated:
    - Object/WBZ company/representative
    - Object/WBZ company
    - Object
