Generation of Issue Mixes

Description

As of Release 4.01, you can generate issue mixes in IS-M/SD if IS-M/AM ad insert insertion is active in customizing.
An insert mix is made up of an insert and ad mix for each issue and plant.

The function 'Generate issue mixes' (program RJVCLFBL) generates issue, insert and ad mixes on the basis of deliveries and stores this information in the delivery.
You can maintain weights or bundle dividers to be taken into account in bundling for each issue mix.
Issue mixes are not taken into account in postal charge or home delivery settlement as of 4.01.

Difference to 3.04 as regards insert mix

If at least one delivery without real inserts is defined for an issue, an initial insert mix (without an insert combination) is created for this issue.
(Ad mixes are not yet active in IS-M Release 4.01 and are assigned the initial value 000.)
You can use a user exit (enhancement JDVASP00) to make your own entry for the short text in the issue mix (JDTVASPLIT-KBEZSPLIT).

Effects on Customizing

Ad insert insertion on the basis of the IS-M/AM ad insert order must be activated in the general IS-M control parameters (customizing) so that issue mixes can be generated. (It is not possible to generate issue mixes if insertion is represented using the flyer order from Media Sales and Distribution.)

Note: If ad insert insertion is active, shipping preparation for flyers is no longer active.

Changes to the Interface

The function can be found under 'Planning' in the application area menu for shipping preparation.

Issue mixes are a subobject of the issue and can be processed further in master data maintenance for the issue.

Changes in procedure

The function 'Generate issue mixes' can also be run before the order finalization deadline is reached (for the carrying edition), i.e. the issue, insert and ad mixes can be generated before shipping actually takes place.
If further deliveries come into being after the issue mix has been generated, you can do the following:

  • Repeat the function (assigning existing mixes to the delivery or generating new mixes)
  • Assign an existing issue mix in delivery processing
