Control of Creation of Common Odd Bundles

Use

Maintenance of odd bundle groups and the assignment of editions to odd bundle groups has been changed for Release 4.62.

You can only specify the odd bundle divider and the maximum number of units in the odd bundle for an odd bundle group. The user no longer assigns an odd bundle group to a carrying edition and specify the number of units in the odd bundle in the bundling rule as was the case in previous releases. When you assign an edition to the odd bundle group, you can now define that all remaining copies are to be packed in a common odd bundle or only those contained in a manual odd bundle.

Shipping in Periodical Sales and Distribution only takes account of the maximum number of units in the odd bundle.

Look back at previous procedure (Release 4.01):

The odd bundle group was assigned to a carrying edition in the bundling rules. The maximum number of units in the odd bundle was also defined in this assignment.

Damage caused to data by errors

Caution: Data conversion for the new maintenance functions for odd bundle groups is performed automatically during upgrade to 4.62 by the XPRA RJVXPRAPACK.

Odd bundle dividers cannot be converted automatically. You must therefore maintain the bundle dividers for the odd bundle groups after the upgrade to 4.62.
