Missing Returns

Use

As of IS-M Release 4.64, you can record missing returns in addition to the normal returns reported.

You can record missing returns if returns are not reported for returnable media issues with a delivery quantity greater than zero.

You can search for missing returns using two views with corresponding selection criteria:

• Business partner view

The system lists all returns for the business partner for the specified publication period. You can record a return quantity for media issues for which returns have not yet been reported. The returns are created in the system when you save your entries.

• Media issue view

The system lists all the business partners who have not yet reported returns for the selected media issue. You can then enter a return quantity for the selected media issue for these business partners. The returns are created in the system when you save your entries.

In operative processing, you can distinguish returns that have been recorded as missing from those reported in the normal way by assigning them a different operation.

Effects on Customizing

Please note that missing returns can only be recorded by users who are assigned a profile with authorization for missing returns in Customizing. For further details, see the documentation on the administration tool under Grouped Service Functions.
