Short Dialog for Creating Complaints

Use

As of IS-M Release 4.64, an optional short dialog is available for creating complaints from central access.

The short dialog is designed similarly to the existing short dialogs (for example, for creating suspensions). It comprises a dialog box in which you can enter all the data required on a complaint. You can create the complaint directly from the dialog box and you can also access complaint processing. The system then enters the default values and displays the issues for the entire complaint period.

Please note: The short dialog is especially suited for creating simple complaints, such as a subsequent delivery or credit memo for one day, directly. As before, you must still use the complaint processing transaction to record complex complaints with manual quantities.

If you use the short dialog to create complaints directly, the consistency of the data takes priority over selection in the short dialog. For example, you create a complaint for 4 days and issues directly in the short dialog and choose "Credit memo" as the complaint category. If a credit memo is only possible for 2 of the 4 issues, perhaps because the first two issues were published before the start of the billing period, the complaint is created without action for 2 issues and a credit memo is created for the other 2.

Effects on Customizing

Use of the short dialog is optional and you can activate and deactivate it in Customizing. The short dialog is inactive in the standard delivery, so that the system behaves as in the previous Release. To access the Customizing settings, choose the IMG path SAP Media -> Media Sales and Distribution -> Periodical Sales and Distribution -> Sales -> Order -> General Settings -> Sales Document Control -> Define General Control Parameters.
