Insert Planning

Use

As of IS-M Release 4.64, the following enhancements and changes are available for insert planning:

Enhancements

  • Customer groups and hierarchies
To group your customers for insert planning, you can define customer groups and assign your customers to them. You can also assign a customer to more than one customer group.
The customer groups for assigning customers are defined as basic customer groups. In addition, you can define higher level customer groups and assign the basic customer groups to them, thus forming hierarchies.
To assign customers to customer groups for insert planning, you can use transaction JVSD14.
  • Geographical view and customer group view
You can display the assignment of customers to geographical units or to customer groups.
  • Mixes
You can now add, delete and change planned mixes manually (by means of the context menu for the media issue or the mix). You cannot add or delete further inserts for mixes created automatically.
  • Status of mix:
  • Green: Mix planned

  • Red: Mix released (BOM exists)

Changes

  • Planned quantities for inserts and mixes are always displayed for all contracts. In previous Releases, only the quantities for the contracts currently displayed were used to determine the quantity of an insert (mix).
  • Planned mixes are saved from insert planning and used in mix creation.

Effects on Customizing

Define the necessary customer groups and customer group hierarchies for insert planning in the Customizing settings for Media Product Sales and Distribution.
