MED_MSD_1: Automatic Generation of Shipping Problem Messages (New)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Media, Enhancement Package 4 (IS-M 604), Business Function 'Media, Subscription Management 2' (MED_MSD_1), you can have the system generate a shipping problem message automatically for a delivery round when a predefined threshold of a specific number of customer complaints is reached.

When customer complaints are saved, the system calls the SAVE method from the enhancement spot ISM_GENERIC_SHIP_MSG. The implementation NAM/SHIP_MSG_CREATE totals the relevant complaints and creates a shipping problem message when the threshold you have specified is reached.
Effects on Customizing
If you want to use this function, you must make the following settings in Customizing for Periodical Sales and Distribution (Subscriptions) under Shipping -> Problem Messages -> Automatic Generation:
- In the activity Define Relevance for Complaint Reason, mark the complaint reasons that are relevant for the automatic generation of shipping problem messages.
- In the activity Define Complaint Thresholds, define threshold values for each purchasing organization and carrier route. If you do not specify a carrier route, the entry applies to all carrier routes for which a threshold has not been defined.
- Activate automatic generation of shipping problem messages in the activity Activate Automatic Problem Message Generation.
