MED_BP_1: Address Update in the Postal Change Service (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Industry Extension Media (IS-M 605), Business Function Media, Business Partner (MED_BP_1), the new program RJS_PDU_ADRCK2 (transaction JS70N) for updating addresses is available as the last step in the postal change service. The program contains the following functions:

  • Adjust IS-M addresses and the corresponding SAP BP addresses
  • Improved performance thanks to parallel processing of address adjustments
  • Restart option
  • New display and evaluation options for the address data log (hotspots)

Effects on Existing Data

The previous program RJS_PDU_ADRCK (transaction JS70) can no longer be executed and has been replaced by program RJS_PDU_ADRCK2 (transaction JS70N).

There have been no changes to the sequence of steps in the postal change service, or to the way in which these steps must be processed. The current processing status in the postal change service (transaction JS72) is still the current control instance.

To integrate the address update function in the SAP NetWeaver Portal, transaction JS70N has been added to the Postal Change Service folder in the following automatic roles:

  • SAP_EP_ISM_JJAM_MD
  • SAP_EP_ISM_JSP0_MSDMD

For more information, see Roles → Automatic Roles on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com.

Effects on Data Transfer

Effects on System Administration

You must configure the logon or server groups for parallel processing.

Effects on Customizing

Check the Customizing settings that specify how the system is to handle address updates for WBZ addresses. You make the settings in Customizing for Periodical Sales and Distribution (Subscriptions) under Sales -> Order -> External Link -> WBZ Processing -> Maintain General WBZ Data.

Further Information

For more information, see the central release note for the business function Media, Business Partner and the SAP Library documentation under Industries in SAP ERP -> SAP Media -> Master Data.
