Internet Application Component Change Access Data for Internet User

Use

With Release 4.63, you can give your customers the option of maintaining their Internet user online themselves. You can map a wide range of scenarios.

Examples

  • Change access data user name, password, e-mail address: The customer logs on and can change their access data.
  • Assistance if the customer has forgotten their password (1): The customer authenticates themselves by specifying their user name or customer number and a further piece of personal data and can then assign a new password.
  • Assistance if the customer has forgotten their password (2): The customer enters their customer number. A new password is then sent to the customer's e-mail address.

The Internet application component has been implemented with the service JGWWWIU2, on which transaction JGWWWIU2 is based. The application takes account of the settings for the Internet user with regard to the Internet user concept used (SU01, SU05).

Effects on Customizing

You can make the Customizing settings in the following steps:

SAP Media → Master Data → Business Partner → Internet Application Components (IACs) → IAC Change Access Data for Internet User → Define Variants of IAC Change Internet User

You can define several variants of the IAC and run them simultaneously. The following global settings apply to all these variants and to the other IACs in which Internet users can be created and changed (Subscription Sales, Create Classified Ad, Create Internet User):

SAP Media → Master Data → Business Partner → → Internet Application Components (IACs) → Settings for Internet User
