OIL_OPM_UPST_CI_1: Business Function Op. Perf. Management Upstream Continuous Improvements 1 (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP04, Industry Extension Oil & Gas (IS-OIL 606), the business function Op. Perf. Management Upstream Continuous Improvements 1is available.

Op. Perf. Management Upstream Continuous Improvements 1 enables oil and gas companies to manage and improve the performance of their producing assets with the following features:

Network Objects

  • Create Platform
    You can define the oil and gas entity platform where different network objects are grouped together. You can also assign the platform to the network object type separator, well, manifold and flare.
  • Define well class
    You can define a well class for the network object types welland well completions.
  • Manage well level medium reclassification
    You can specify a reclassification medium for a primary producing medium in Customizing for well completions for a specified date range. Allocation run is based on the primary medium, but the results are displayed for reclassified medium. This function helps in identifying the reclassified medium for an allocated medium that is often used in the real business world.

Network Modeler

  • Hierarchical view of a production network

You can display a production network in hierarchical view in the top-down and bottom-up view. You can also modify the network in this view.

  • Planning and Simulation
    You can do the following:
  • View error log display in simulation.

  • View actual versus planned quantities for all mediums and for more than one selected node on the same graph.

Allocation

  • Mass creation of measurement points and documents
You can create measurement points for multiple network objects within a production network, and also create multiple measurement documents for the already created measurement points.
  • Measurement point document indicator
The MRH indicator is set automatically, if there is no primary measurement document and if there is an measurement retrieval hierarchy (MRH) defined for a specific node in a production network for a specified date.
  • Rounding in Allocation
You can specify rounding precision in terms of number of decimal points in UoM rules to which allocation results are rounded.
  • Configurable quantity type
You can create a generic configurable quantity category group and specify the existing quantity categories such as sales, production, or inventory under this group. View such a quantity type for example, production volume, for each well completion in allocation results along with the existing quantity types.
  • Allocation in Batch Mode
You can run allocation in batch mode as a background job and create a log for the same.
  • Mass creation of well down time
You can create actual well downtime for multiple wells and well completions within a production network. You can enter downtime for all the relevant wells and well completions based on a search criterion. This report further creates a downtime notification in the system.
  • Mass creation of allocation rules
You can create allocation rules in bulk for a production network or for a specific node in the production network using the report by specifying the key values for allocation rules.
  • Water injection / Gas injection allocation method
You can model a network with injecting wells, define rules for these injecting wells and perform allocation.
  • Authorization concept in allocation
You can use the authorizations provided to perform various activities in allocation.
  • Standardize well test data
You can standardize the well tests using a report that is run as a background job. The well test user interface also displays standardized well test values for a day.
  • Mass creation of well test data
You can create well test data for multiple wells in a production network.
  • Filters in Allocation Result
You can view the summarized results of allocation. You can also sort, filter and save various variants of the filters.
  • Reset prior period notification (PPN)
You can reset the PPN indicator with the relevant authorization.

Reports and Analytics

  • Dashboard to analyze well test data for multiple wells
You can use this dashboard to analyze well test data for multiple wells at the same time.
  • Dashboard for Upstream Operations Performance Analysis
You can use this dashboard to display the production analysis and asset planning in a production operation.

Production Dashboard
You can view the actual and planned production analysis for different KPIs like oil volume, gas volume, production stoppages and so on. You can also view the daily production volume for different mediums for a specified time period.

Asset Planning Dashboard
You can view the analysis for simulated planned oil production volume (Estimated Cumulated Oil Production), actual oil production volume and planned oil production volume (Planned Cumulated Oil Production).

The Business Package for Operations Performance Managementprovides the following roles with which you can access the functions of this business function.
