Final Delivery Indicator

Scope of Functions

The Final Delivery indicator can be set for an item in an underlying document (sales order or purchase order) so that no further deliveries can be created for the item. During the processing of bulk shipments (scheduling, loading and delivery confirmation), you have the option to change the quantities taken from the underlying documents assigned to a shipment. The Final Delivery indicator enables you to close an underlying document item from within bulk shipment processing.

Up to now, you could only set the Final Delivery indicator for deliveries related to a contract. The enhancement to the Final Delivery indicator enables you to set the indicator for all deliveries included in a shipment.

During delivery confirmation, the Final Delivery indicator can be set for stock transfers at goods receipt. This indicates that the appropriate purchase order is complete for stock requirement reports. The Final Delivery indicator can be used in case of under delivery for example, when product is lost during transport but an additional delivery is not required.

The Final Delivery indicator is also relevant for Shipping Notifications at Loading. In this case, you mark the corresponding Purchase Order Item as closed, making it available for archiving.

You can activate or deactivate the Final Delivery indicator in all of the main screens of shipment processing: Scheduling, Loading Confirmation, and Delivery Confirmation.

An update of the Final Delivery indicator is also possible through Interface Function Modules available for the creation of bulk shipments.
