Enhancements to TSW Production Version Handling

Scope of Functions

A production version describes the seasonal version of a particular material. For example, summer gasoline has a lower volatility than winter gasoline but costs more to produce. It is therefore a superior grade in this respect, and identical in all other respects to winter gasoline. The production version makes it possible, for example, to supply "winter diesel" even though the sales order is for summer diesel.

The following examples show the two combinations of rebrands that are supported for nominations and the corresponding effects on the rundown. TSW 4.6 supports two combinations of rebrands using user-exits for the rundown.

Item Type Demand Material Scheduled Material
Origin 9801 9801
Destination 9801 5501

The material on the loading ticket is 9801, but on the discharging ticket the material is 5501.

The rundown for the origin location uses the scheduled material on the Origin item and the quantity on the ticket:

Receipt Issue
Scheduled Actual Scheduled Actual

The rundown for the Transport System uses the scheduled material on the Origin and the Destination items:

Receipt Issue

The bottom row (5501) shows the rebrand of the material on board, after loading, and the corresponding rundown effect.

The rundown for the Destination location uses the scheduled material on the Destination item and the quantity on the ticket:

Receipt Issue
