Enhancements to TSW Ticketing and Document Generation
Scope of Functions
The following enhancements have been made to ticketing and document generation in TSW:
- Enhancement of Unit of Measure (UoM) handling
- No quantity conversion for non-ASTM materials
- Enhanced date handling
- Use ticket end date
- No actualization for future days
- Checking of posting periods
- Consider purchase order and sales order dates
- Consider billing/estimated price blocks on order item
- Generation of Stock Transfer Orders
- Update nomination with actualization information
- User exit to change valuation type in origin location
- Assign a ticket to a nomination item
Enhancement of Unit of Measure Handling
TSW uses the UoM entered in the ticket, not the nomination UoM, to generate documents. Also, you can enter the quantity in different UoMs. ASTM conversion takes place automatically where it is necessary and possible.
No ASTM Conversions for Non-ASTM Materials
TSW checks for non-ASTM materials in the ticket, nomination, and rundown. If ASTM is not applicable, quantity conversion does not take place.
Consider Billing and Estimates in Price Blocks
TSW prevents actualization against purchase orders (PO) with estimated prices and/or sales orders (SO) with a delivery/billing block (due to credit check, availability check, and so on). To quickly identify tickets that cannot be actualized because of PO/SO blocks, the actualization process stops immediately. That allows the trader to correct/unblock the PO/SO so that pricing can be finalized prior to any documents being created.
Generation of Stock Transfer Orders
TSW uses Stock Transfer Orders (STO) in addition to reservations for stock transfer scenarios. In this way, you can attach costs to STO documents, which is not possible with reservations.
Update Nomination with Actualization Information
This function updates the nomination correctly with the accumulated actual quantity and the last user/date/time that was used to actualize that line item on the nomination. This enables you to see the total actualized quantity on the nomination and then also on the rundown.
User Exit to Change Valuation Type in Origin Location
A user exit is provided to change the valuation type at the origin location automatically. This speeds up the scheduling and actualization process.
