Alternate Address (New in SP2)

Use

As of SAP Oil & Gas 4.6C Service Pack 2, the create business associate transaction now allows you to maintain an alternate address for the business associate. This is used currently by Contractual Allocation (CA) processes and balancing, among other reporting functions.

It is now possible to create an alternate address for each business associate. You can use it to create multiple different address types for your business associate to be used in situations in which you want to use different addresses from the defaulted one.

On the BA creation screen, there is a main address that is usually used for the BA. The main address is pulled from the Core record by the system, to be used in Checkwrite, for example. The alternate addresses, when entered, are used by various reporting programs. The goal is to be able to send a report to an address other than the main address on the BA screen. For example, there are situations in which you want the delivery address to differ from the billing address, or you want an alternate address at which to receive balancing reports in Balancing.
